AMALGEROL ESSENCE works better via drip irrigation than foliar spray in Spanish Bell Peppers

The effect of AMALGEROL ESSENCE on Bell Pepper was tested in a GEP trial (Good Experimental Practice) in south Spain. Bell Pepper plants of the variety Alonso were grown in the greenhouse with 4 replicates for each group.

Group I was treated three times with AMALGEROL ESSENCE via foliar spray at a dose of 3 l/ha. In group II the plants were treated three times with AMALGEROL ESSENCE via drip irrigation at a dose of 3 l/ha. The results were then compared to the untreated control.

Overall the crop was in good condition and showed no signs of diseases or deficiencies. The treatment with AMALGEROL ESSENCE not only increased the root length but also increased the number of flowers and leaves.

An increased root length of + 42 % was achieved with AMALGEROL ESSENCE drip irrigation compared to the untreated control. By increasing the root growth AMALGEROL ESSENCE gives the plant the opportunity to make better use of the available water and therefore handling drought stress better.

Taken together, in peppers AMALGEROL ESSENCE administrated via drip irrigation achieved the best results.
