From Uprooting to Unbelievable Depth: How One Vineyard Was Saved

A decade-old Merlot vineyard faced a critical threat when workers accidentally used Glyphos, a herbicide, instead of the intended High Phos foliar fertilizer. The applications were made at a dosage of 2,5 l/ha. This mistake posed a serious question: whether to uproot the entire vineyard or find a way to save it. This challenge led Ivan Rangelov to seek a solution to restore the health of his valuable vines.

A Bold Choice to Recover
To save the vineyard, Ivan Rangelov decided to treat the plot with AMALGEROL ESSENCE. The vineyard received four treatments within a single month. The following year, the vines showed remarkable recovery and began to bear fruit again. This success was a testament to the product's ability to help plants overcome significant stress and damage.

The Test of Time and Soil Health
To confirm the long-term impact of the treatment, a test was conducted. An iron stick was driven into the soil, and the difference was dramatic. In the treated part of the vineyard, where AMALGEROL had been applied over six consecutive years, the stick went in about 80 cm, indicating healthy, aerated soil and improved structure. In an adjacent, untreated vineyard, the stick only went in about 30 cm, demonstrating the compacted soil structure. The long-term use clearly highlights the sustainable improvement of soil health. In Bulgaria, a continuous application over at least 3-4 consecutive years is recommended to achieve lasting effects.

The recovery of the vineyard led to the production of high-quality wines. These wines are a direct result of the successful intervention and stand as proof that the vineyard was not only saved but returned to full health. The winemaker can proudly say that the "wines that you see here in front of me are from this vineyard" that was once nearly uprooted.

A Convincing Legacy
Over many years, Ivan Rangelov used AMALGEROL with deep conviction and encouraged others to carry out the same soil test to see the results for themselves. Although he has since passed away, his experience lives on: his son Dimitar now continues the work in his spirit and remains committed to using AMALGEROL.
