Significantly more oil in AMALGEROL-treated sunflowers

This trial was conducted by the Victoria Group Serbia, a company specialised on the production of soy protein and sunflower oil. Two different AMALGEROL-treatments were tested and compared to the untreated control in sunflowers:

i) 3 l/ha AMALGEROL on soil together with the application of soil herbicides plus 4 l/ha AMALGEROL at the 5 leaves stage (amount of fertilizers according to the soil analysis) and

ii) 5 l/ha AMALGEROL at the 5 leaves stage (amount of fertilizers according to the farmer's experience).

The Victoria Group Serbia was very satisfied with the results: AMALGEROL increased the oil harvest from 1.164 kg/ha to 1.300 kg/ha (+12 %) and from 1.076 kg/ha to 1.241 kg/ha (+15 %) for the two treatments, respectively (Fig. 1).

The relative oil content increased in the 3+4 l/ha treatment from 41,1 to 42,1 % and in the 5 l/ha treatment from 40 to 41,3%. Total yield was increased by 9 and 12 %, respectively (Fig. 2).
