These showers bring more flowers: the AMALGEROL ESSENCE effect on cucumber

The effect of AMALGEROL ESSENCE on cucumber was tested in a GEP trial (Good Experimental Practice) in south Spain.

Cucumber plants of the variety Tijuan were grown in the greenhouse on 16 m² plots with 4 replicates for each group.

In group I the plants were treated three times with AMALGEROL ESSENCE via drip irrigation at a dose of 2 l/ha. Group II was treated three times with AMALGEROL ESSENCE via foliar spray at a dose of 6 l/ha. The results were then compared to the untreated control.

Overall the crop was in good condition and showed no signs of diseases or deficiencies. The treatment with AMALGEROL ESSENCE not only increased the yield but also increased the number of flowers.

An increased yield of + 8 % was achieved with AMALGEROL ESSENCE drip irrigation and a remarkable increased yield of + 40 % was achieved with AMALGEROL ESSENCE foliar spray.

Furthermore, up to 75 % more flowers were produced by the cucumber plants treated with AMALGEROL ESSENCE compared to the untreated control.
