Well-rooted tomatoes: AMALGEROL increased yield, sugar content and root mass

In a standardised field trial with 4 replicates, we compared two modes to apply AMALGEROL on tomatoes: foliar spray and via watering.

Both treatments consisted of 3 applications of 3 l/ha each.

The tomato response to AMALGEROL in general was very positive, the difference between the application modes was only small. While the increase in yield around 15 % and the higher sugar content (around + 20 %) were already good, the biggest effect was observed in root mass (around 50 % more).

In addition, AMALGEROL increased tomato quality: only 3 % of the AMALGEROL-treated fruits were cracked or deformed while among the untreated it were 10 %.
