Get more peanuts from one plant with AMALGEROL

Peanuts are an important crop in India. In this field trial with 300 m²-plots AMALGEROL was tested in two dosages: 1,25 l/ha and 2,5 l/ha (with one application, respectively). The results were compared to an untreated control.

To get detailed insights on the plants' response to AMALGEROL, 5 plants were randomly selected from the middle three rows of each plot, uprooted and washed.

Two parameter were counted of those 5 plants per treatment: number of pods formed per plant and number of pegs* formed per plant. 

*pegs are the thread-like structures that grow from the fertilized flowers to the ground to form the seeds underground (like an umbilical cord).

AMALGEROL-treated plants produced in average more pods (Fig. 1) and more pegs:

Control: 3,2 pegs

AMALGEROL 1,25 l/ha: 3,4 pegs

AMALGEROL 2,5 l/ha: 3,8 pegs
