Oilseed rape
Lithuania
AMALGEROL®
At the Joniškėlis Trial Station in Lithuania, we assessed the effect of AMALGEROL on the constitution of oilseed rape plants. In addition to an untreated control, we compared 3 different AMALGEROL treatments:
i) 4 l/ha in spring + 4 l/ha at flowering
ii) the same as (i) but with 3 l/ha in the autumn before
iii) the same as (ii) but with 4 l/ha on the stubble after harvest (irrelevant for the yield, but for future trials)
AMALGEROL increased the yield and the number of pods per plant in all treatments (Fig. 1, Fig. 2).
Treatment (ii) with 3 applications of AMALGEROL showed the best effect. The oil content increased as well by 0,6-0,7 %.
+ up to 15 % more yield
+ more pods per plant
A second oilseed rape trial was conducted at the ASU trial station in Kaunas (Agricultural University of Lithuania). The aim was to test AMALGEROL in combination with Azofit, a product containing the nitrogen fixing bacteria Azotobacter vinelandii.
One application of 4 l/ha AMALGEROL was compared to 1 l/ha Azofit and the combination of both. AMALGEROL and Azofit alone already increased the yield compared to the untreated control, but the yield increase was considerably higher when both were combined (Fig. 3).
