AMALGEROL®
In 2014, the Spanish Potato Research Institute in Galicia tested different doses of AMALGEROL on the two varieties of potato "Agria" and "Kennebec".
The dose variants 4 x 3 l/ha, 4 x 4 l/ha, 4 x 5 l/ha were compared with an untreated control.
The trial was conducted in a randomized block design with 3 replicates per treatment.
The size distribution of the potatoes was also assessed, but was not affected by AMALGEROL and is therefore not shown.
In the variety "Agria", all AMALGEROL treatments led to a significant yield increase ranging from + 7 to + 35 %, even though the response was not linear (the more AMALGEROL the higher the yield; Fig. 1).
The variety "Kennebec" responded somewhat differently, showing a significant yield increase in the 4 x 3 l/ha treatment only (+ 32 %). The yields of the treatments with 4 and 5 l/ha were not higher than the control (Fig. 2).
