AMALGEROL ESSENCE increased yield in maize with a single application

The effect of AMALGEROL ESSENCE on productivity in maize was tested by the Institute of Feeds and Agriculture of Podillia NAAS in the Western Ukraine (Vinnytsia region). This field trial was conducted with 4 repetitions in a randomized plot design in the maize variety DKS 4541 (FAO 360).

AMALGEROL ESSENCE was applied foliar at two different dosage rates with 2,0 and 2,5 l/ha and compared with an untreated control. There were a single application during the leaf development stage (BBCH 14-18, 4-8 leaves).

The weather conditions war rather normal, but with a slight deviation towards more stressful condions compared to long-term norm (increased temperature, reduced precipitation).

The yield in maize was significantly increased by the application of AMALGEROL ESSENCE.

While at the untreated site the yield was 8,3 t/ha, the application rate of 2,0 l/ha AMALGEROL ESSENCE resulted in a yield of 9,5 t/ha (+ 15 %) and at the application rate of 2,5 l/ha AMALGEROL ESSENCE the yield was even higher with 9,7 t/ha (+ 18%) (see Fig. 1). This yield increase was mainly caused by a much bigger kernels as shown by the increase thousand kernel weight (see Fig. 2).
