AMALGEROL® ESSENCE
A comprehensive field trial was conducted in Semchinovo, Bulgaria, to evaluate the efficacy of four biostimulant products in enhancing maize yield and quality traits. In this report we will focus on the application of AMALGEROL ESSENCE (AME). The trial was carried out by SynTech Research Bulgaria and sponsored by Hechenbichler GmbH. The objective was to substantiate the claim regarding the determination of quality traits resulting from the use of plant biostimulants. The trial was established in a maize field planted with the Kalumet cultivar.
A randomized complete block design was implemented, including untreated control (UTC) plots, with six replications per treatment and an elemental plot size of 21 m². Two applications were performed using a backpack sprayer equipped with a 3-meter boom and six flat-fan nozzles, delivering 300 liters per hectare. Assessments were conducted at key intervals: immediately before the second application (0 Days Before Application, DBA), immediately after (0 Days After Application, DAB), 15 days post-application (15 DAB), and at harvest.
In the trial with AMALGEROL ESSENCE, there was an 11% increase in yield, demonstrating its beneficial effect on maize production. Regarding quality metrics, such as the thousand kernel weight (TKW), a significant increase of 15,6% was noted, indicating improved grain quality. Additionally, the specific weight (HLW) saw a 4% enhancement, further confirming the product's effectiveness in boosting grain characteristics. For farmers aiming to improve their maize production, the outcomes of this field trial provide encouraging insights. AMALGEROL ESSENCE led to an 11% increase in yield, resulting in stronger and more valuable grain. This product showed notable advancements in both yield and grain quality. These results underscore the potential of AMALGEROL ESSENCE to not only elevate yield but also enhance the overall quality of maize, making it an essential asset for farmers seeking to optimize their crop's marketability and profitability.
