AMALGEROL® ESSENCE PB
A comprehensive field trial was conducted in Semchinovo, Bulgaria, to evaluate the efficacy of four biostimulant products in enhancing maize yield and quality traits. In this report we will focus on the application of AMALGEROL ESSENCE Plant Based (AME PB). The trial was carried out by SynTech Research Bulgaria and sponsored by Hechenbichler GmbH. The objective was to substantiate the claim regarding the determination of quality traits resulting from the use of plant biostimulants. The trial was established in a maize field planted with the Kalumet cultivar.
A randomized complete block design was implemented, including untreated control (UTC) plots, with six replications per treatment and an elemental plot size of 21 m². Two applications were performed using a backpack sprayer equipped with a 3-meter boom and six flat-fan nozzles, delivering 300 liters per hectare. Assessments were conducted at key intervals: immediately before the second application (0 Days Before Application, DBA), immediately after (0 Days After Application, DAB), 15 days post-application (15 DAB), and at harvest.
With AMALGEROL ESSENCE Plant Based (AME PB), the trial observed a 14% increase in yield, showcasing its efficacy in enhancing maize productivity. The thousand kernel weight (TKW) increased by 10.1%, contributing to the overall yield improvement. Furthermore, the specific hectoliter weight (HLW) saw a 2.8% increase, indicating improvements in grain quality and density, which are crucial for processing and marketability.
For growers looking to increase their maize production, the results from this field trial offer promising insights. This product demonstrated significant improvements in both yield and grain quality. These findings highlight the potential of AMALGEROL ESSENCE Plant Based (AME PB) to not only increase yield but also improve the overall quality of maize, making it a valuable tool for farmers aiming to maximize their crops marketability and profitability.
