The AMALGEROL® brand has a long history

We are deeply rooted to our Austrian base in Innsbruck and our long-standing heritage. The generations that shaped AMALGEROL® established biostimulants on the market.

The story of AMALGEROL® began in 1948 in Switzerland. In the small town of Amriswil near Lake Constance, Gardener Karl Bentele initiated the original production on a very small scale.

From today's perspective, his venture proved to be a golden opportunity.

In 1981, the Hechenbichler family took over sales for Austria. Initially, AMALGEROL® was mainly used in the area of farmyard manure treatment. Through pioneering work, the company made the leap into livestock-free agriculture.

Great successes often stem from humble beginnings.

A milestone in 1990 was the start of large-scale contract production. At the same time, the first export deals were sealed with Germany, Italy, Czech Republic, Hungary, and Denmark.

Looking back, it marks a remarkable ascent along a long journey.

Since 2020, the Hueter family has been steering the fortunes of our company. AMALGEROL® is now distributed in over 40 countries worldwide. Our market spans Europe, Africa, Asia and North America, and we take pride in the global appreciation of our products.

Biostimulant technology developed over decades of research

AMALGEROL® has stood for innovative biostimulant technology in agriculture for many years. The products are known worldwide for their ability to support plants in coping with stress conditions such as drought, cold, or excessive moisture, while at the same time activating soil life.

With the CE marking as EU biostimulants in accordance with the EU Fertilising Products Regulation, it is now also officially documented that AMALGEROL® and AMALGEROL® ESSENCE are classified as non-microbial plant biostimulants and can increase yields in all crops.
