Turning Frost Into Fruit: How One Turkish Farmer Reversed the Cold’s Damage

In Ceyhan, a fertile agricultural hub in Adana, Turkey, Mr. Dinçer Dinç carries the weight of five decades in farming and agricultural supply. His business spans cold storage, gardening, and chemical distribution—serving a region known for citrus fruits, melons, watermelons, tomatoes, peanuts, maize and more. But in the winter of this year, a devastating frost struck. Temperatures plummeted to -10°C, leaving lemon trees stripped and orange groves bare. That’s when Dinç made a bold choice that changed everything.

"I’m not saying this as a distributor, but as a farmer - this product brought our trees back to life."
Mr. Dinçer Dinç

Trusting a Solution, Rooted in Experience

Having observed AMALGEROL's per-formance over three years, Dinç wasn’t new to the product—but this time, he used it decisively. “We trusted the product,” he said, “so we applied it assertively to all our customers’ crops.” Combining AMALGEROL with ammo-nium sulphate and DAP fertilizers, he treated his frost-stricken groves with both drip irrigation and foliar spray—applying a total of 2 x 300cc / da. The gamble wasn’t just based on business—it was personal.

Life After -10 °C: Signs of a Comeback

Just 23 days later, the results were undeniable. Where other farmers saw only leafless branches and lingering damage, Dinç’s trees had sprung back to life. “In all our lemon trees, there was complete budding and full shoot development—even from the trunks,” he shared. The transformation was dramatic. Buds emerged, shoots pushed through, and a green canopy reclaimed what frost had nearly destroyed.

More Than Recovery—A New Standard

Dinç’s reflections are filled with conviction. “Amalgerol is a highly effective product that breaks down whatever is in the soil and works against frost,” he said. “I’m not saying this as a distributor, but as a farmer.” He described pruning only the dried tips, while other farmers hadn’t even touched their trees. For him, it wasn’t just a recovery—it was a renewal that exceeded expectations.

A Boost to Business and Belief

The recovery didn’t just restore crops—it preserved livelihoods. Customers who used the product on Dinç’s recom-mendation saw their trees revived and their seasons salvaged. The results spoke volumes: renewed trust, strengthened client relationships, and proof that innovation can bring security even in extreme conditions. “You can use it blindly,” he said. “You’ll be very satisfied.”

Looking Forward with Confidence

Now, Dinç plans to expand the use of AMALGEROL across all crop types—including tomatoes and melons, where he’s already seeing encouraging early signs. For him and his customers, it’s no longer just about surviving the seasons—it’s about thriving through them. With the right tools, even the harshest frost becomes an opportunity for growth.
